Buh-sted! ‘Smack’ Obtains Copy of Pastor Paul Blair’s Anti-Gay Sermon Rants
So, I obtained the sermon notes of Pastor Paul Blair from
I should post some photos first I guess. Let’s see what I
have… Oh here’s one of Blair and Fairview Baptist. Oooo, who’s this guy in the white dress coming out the rear of some
building? He looks happy.

Now I want you to look very closely at the
slide directly above from Blair’s presentation. Notice how it lists various items like
opposition to same sex marriage, abortion, outsourcing of jobs, etc. But there
in the list is “Violent Christian Identity Organization” as if he’s implying
that’s one of the things okay for Christians to be a part of that’s being
targeted. Adding "violent" to that is disturbing.
And now in Paul Blair’s very own
words…
TEXT: 1 Peter 4:12-16 Beloved, think it not strange
concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing
happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's
sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with
exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for
the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil
spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a
murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's
matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let
him glorify God on this behalf.
The title of this message is this: The Criminalization of

“DHS…has no specific information that domestic rightwing terrorists are
currently planning acts of violence, but rightwing extremists MAY be gaining new recruits by
playing on the fears of several emergent issues.”

stating that no threat currently exists.
They are clearly trying to create a crisis in the minds of law
enforcement personnel)
(Slide 5 “Threats (tic)…largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry
out violent acts. NEVERTHELESS…COULD create a fertile recruiting
environment for rightwing extremists and even result in confrontations…”
Slide 6 “The possible passage
of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing
significant challenges reintegrating into their communities COULD LEAD to the POTENTIAL emergence of terrorist
groups of lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent acts.”
Slide 7 “Debates over
appropriate immigration levels and the enforcement policy generally fall within
the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some
cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor…has THE POTENTIAL to turn violent.”

12 – Scripture Text From John
John 15:18-16:3 If the
world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would
love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of
the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater
than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; … 2
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever
killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you,
because they have not known the Father, nor me.
On Thursday of this week, I
watched on C-Span as members of the House of Representatives debated Hate
Crimes Legislation. It passed narrowly
out of committee, along party lines.
While in committee, SLIDE 13 Rep. Tom Rooney (FL, 16th
Dist., Republican) offered amendments to the Bill seeking to include Military
Personnel as a protected class, Pregnant Women as a protected class, unborn
babies as a protected class and elderly. SLIDE 13, PART B All of these were summarily shot
down.
SLIDE 14 Rep. Steve King (R-IA) presented a final amendment that insisted
would specifically exclude pedophiles under "sexual
orientation."
SLIDE 14, PART B Lesbian Congresswoman
Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) spoke for House Judiciary Democrats in objection, saying
that King's amendment was "unnecessary
and inflammatory."
SLIDE 15 Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), a former judge,
offered several amendments that would have provided religious-freedom
protections from hate crimes prosecution, but they were all rejected by
Democrats on the Judiciary Committee.
During the last
few minutes of the hearing, an irate Rep. Gohmert (R-TX) again tried to limit
"sexual orientation" to exclude pedophiles but liberals rejected the
demand for specificity. SLIDE
15, PART B In fact,
liberal Democratic Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings read a list of
“paraphilias” into the record, arguing that all “philias” should be protected
including “pedophilia.”
SLIDE 16 This bill seeks to include the undefined
terms “sexual orientation” or “gender identity” as this would add 30 different
perversions to a protected groups with the same federal protection as you are
guaranteed regardless of race. Not only
that, SLIDE 18, PART B the expression “real or perceived” is used throughout the
bill.
If a person’s “gender
identity” is real or perceived
If they feel threatened by your speech or actions – whether
real or perceived
The bill will
make every type of gay, lesbian, cross-dresser, bi-sexual, transsexual,
transvestite, pedophile, necromancer, bestiality practice and any other form of
sexual perversion a federally protected class under

Proponents of the hate crimes
bill claim that Christians and others who speak out publicly against
homosexuality are not threatened with the same type of prosecution that
criminals would face for committing acts of violence against homosexuals and
transgender people.
Judiciary Committee chairman John
Conyers (D-Michigan), a co-sponsor of the measure, stated: "The bill
only applies to bias-motivated violent crimes and does not impinge public
speech or writing in any way."
SLIDE 17 However,
during the Judiciary Committee markup, Congresswoman
Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas)
reinforced the notion that people could be prosecuted for having a particular
belief. "We also need to protect
those potential victims who may be the recipients of hateful words or hateful
acts, or even violent acts."
We don’t want to see “acts of
violence” happen to anybody, but what exactly is a “hateful act”? And what are considered “hateful words”? Are they real or perceived?
This is thought police.
This is wrong in so many ways, but as our Forefather
Pastors equipped their flocks for effectively combating the dangers of their
culture, I want to equip you in the remaining time to combat this attack on
Christianity in
SLIDE 18 First, this Bill is Unconstitutional – because
it violates the First Amendment.
When
the Constitution was drafted, the Bill of Rights had to be added before the
states would ratify it. The Bill of Rights were ten “handcuffs” placing
limits on this new “federal” government and insuring and protecting the rights
of the people. The number one item on their “Top Ten” list, the single
most important issue included religious freedom, freedom of speech, assembly,
petition and freedom of the press. We might think that is an odd mix to
be lumped together, but our Founding Fathers did not.
The
speech which the British Government sought primarily to suppress was the speech
of pastors. The “press” in that day was not as in our day.
There wasn’t a USA Today or many daily newspapers. The main thing
that was “published” by the printing press was sermons from pastors like
Mayhew, Edwards, Whitefield, Cooper, Muhlenberg, and countless others that were
printed and spread throughout the Colonies.
The preaching of pastors, the publishing
of sermons, the assembly of congregations, that was in the forefront of the
minds of the crafters of the First Amendment.
Pastors
were Biblically called to be the “Watchmen” by Almighty God. Beginning
with Enoch in Genesis 4 and continuing throughout the entirety of the Bible,
pastors have been called to proclaim the Gospel and stand against immorality
and corruption.
This Bill clearly violates
a Pastor or any Christian’s ability to preach the Bible.
Consider
what has happened in other countries already that have passed Hate Crimes Laws.

SLIDE 19, PART C Last Thursday,
on a conference call, Congressman Steve
King from
SLIDE 20 Second, This bill
violates the 14th Amendment by creating a Special Class of People
The Declaration of Independence states
that “All men are created equal.” In other words, there is no distinction in
class. We don’t have royalty and we
don’t have a caste system. We are all
created equally.
That doesn’t
guarantee equal treatment. If you can
afford to join Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club and I can’t, that is
OK. That is not what is talked about in
the Declaration. We are equal as men,
but if you earn more money and are more successful, then you have greater
privileges. But in
The Hate Crime
Bill does not provide equal protection; it CREATES A NEW SPECIAL CLASS to give
additional protection.
Example:
If a man beats
up a Pastor because he doesn’t like preachers.
That is simply assault.
If a man beats
up an elderly person, that is simply assault.
If a leftist,
curses at a veteran and calls him a murderer and a baby-killer. That is considered free speech.
However, if a
homosexual is the object of any crime – “REAL OR PERCEIVED” – then the (SLIDE 22, PART
Federal Government will provide
the State Government up to $100,000 to prosecute that case. Do you see the potential of abuse here?
A District
Attorney’s office has two crimes reported.
In one, a little old lady was beaten up.
In another, a Preacher offended a homosexual. One case, I have to prosecute out of pocket
and the other case I get a $100,000 subsidy and bonus to prosecute. Which am I going to aggressively pursue?
In one case,
I’ll need facts. In the other, I will
just need the “perceived” facts.
In one case,
I’ll prosecute out of my own budget. In
the other, I get $100,000 subsidy.
This is not
equal protection. This is declaring
“Open Season” on Christians.
SLIDE 21 Finally, this Whole Crisis is a Sham
The
Democrats in Congress are throwing around numbers like 15% of all hate crimes
are because of bias against homosexuals.
Wow! 15%? But let’s examine those numbers.
According
to the 2006 FBI Crime Statistics: (PRESS MOUSE
BUTTON FOR EACH POINT)
7722
incidents of “hate crimes” reported in 2006, with 9652 victims (We think the
worst. We think of people getting beat
up or worse)
But,
only 60% of that number was crimes against persons (vs. property)
Of
that 60%, 46% were reports of “intimidation” – Question: Was that real or perceived intimidation.
The
truth is that of 860,853 reported cases of aggravated assault in 2006 less than
1200 were for “homosexual bias” - That is barely more than 1/10 of one percent.
Of
17,034 murders in 2006, only 3 were considered “hate crimes” and it is my
understanding that none of those were for homosexual bias.
Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel
said, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”
In this case, if there isn’t
really a crisis, make one up.
SLIDE 22 The
purpose is to pose Social change, radically change
You will continually hear
references to the tragic death of Matthew Shepherd a decade ago. Homosexual activists claim it was a case of
“hate crimes” that led to murder. But
that is not true. An ABC 20/20
investigation which included interviews with the two murderers stated that
Shepherd’s murder resulted from a botched robbery by two guys high on meth,
looking for more drug money.
They are both spending life in prison
without parole. What more could a “hate
crimes” law do to exact justice in that case?
Nothing.
We have laws in
This Bill is currently in the
Senate Judiciary Committee. I will be
keeping you posted and we will be working feverishly across
It is Unconstitutional – breaking the First and Fourteenth Amendment.
