As Republicans Take to the Field, Okie Democrats Hit the Concession Stand

Well, the first step in reforming America’s 38th ranked (better than the Sooners at least) health care system is over, as the U.S. House of Representatives approved a bill…barely. Not giving the Democrats much help were their Oklahoma counterparts. Rep. Dan Boren was one DINO that voted no and state democrats seem like they just couldn’t be bothered to mess with it.

Someone needs to say it. The Oklahoma Democratic Party is just full of a bunch of do-nothing fat asses that go out and eat chili and guzzle beer, while the Republicans and Teabaggers fill the streets, knock ondoors, and burn up the phone lines contacting lawmakers.

The most important issue of the year and the rightwing had no challengers in Oklahoma as they ran off to hide in a park and socialize. Healthcare wasn’t a big enough concern for them to make them postpone their “bipartisan” event.

Congresswoman Mary Fallin was on the steps of the United States Capitol fighting healthcare this week, while Lt. Governor Jeri Askins, was fighting clogged arteries. Republican activists swarmed the Oklahoma State Capitoland Democratic activists fought over who had the best chili.

Clearly, this is the last nail in the irrelevant Oklahoma Democratic Party’s coffin. With Democrats like these, who needs Republicans?

This week on the Oklahoma Republican Party’s website it was all about the big issue of the day – healthcare. Over at the Oklahoma Democratic Party website, however, it was more of a “we aren’t going to do anything, so let’s whine about what Mary Fallin hasn’t done” kinda vibe. The Fallin complaint ‘slid showed’ to more whines about Inhofe. That then slid to a month old video of Obama talking about grabbing a mop (and complaining about old policies). That might be a good idea since their opposition has already grabbed one and is mopping up the floor with them, while they’re busy whining...and belching.

I love reading your stuff. I believe the die was cast for yesterdays outcome. The bigger problem is letting people like Boren and Fallin get elected in the first place. I think every Democrat in the state could have called, emailed and visited their US House Rep and the outcome would have sadly been the same. #1 Dems better win the Gov. Race. #2 flip a few state Senators. How we need a much better daily online place that real Dems can congregate for true action.

Well, it is true with a few exceptions. I think Novotny is a canidate worth supporting. Although I generally agree, the Democrap party is pretty much useless here.
